I am always interested in the subject of domestic , mainly because my own daughter and grandchildren were victims of domestic violence.  This short read was interesting and there were parts that I agreed with and other parts not quite so.  I would recommend to any student who is studying this subject.  Thankfully my daughter found the courage to leave her ex and is now happily married.

I was lucky to win an electronic copy of this short book via Booklikes and this was my honest review.

The Alchemist's Secret is the 2nd book in the Alchemist's Memory series and how I wished that I had read the first book first. Although I seldom read fantasy, I'm finding that I am enjoying this genre more and more. There are one or two typo errors, but this didn't distract from my enjoyment.

I must admit that I had never heard of Nellie Don prior to reading this book. It aroused my interest enough to want to research Nellie Don. What a woman! I rarely write a blurb as to what the story is about, for fear of spoiling for others. I do recommend this book. I enjoy watching crime or the history channels on tv and I believe this would make excellent viewing on tv one day.

This is the first time that I have read a novel by Kitty Pilgrim and it will certainly not be the last.  There are not many books whereby I will be able to recall what the story was about in days or weeks to come, but the 'Summer of Fire' will stay within my memory for a long time to come.  Gosh, what a page turner!

I have been on an excursion up Mount Etna, which was a fascinating sight to see.  I could visualise the danger when Luca and his friend were trying to escape from the Mount with Jude Blackwell. I loved all the characters and so glad that the ending ended with just what I like to see.  I rarely write what a story is about or go into depth about characters, as I do not like spoiling for others.  All I will say is that this book has it all...  mystery, romance, mobsters, jewels, volancoes etc.

This was a very gripping read in which I couldn't turn the pages fast enough.  I rarely write what a story is about, for fear of spoiling for others.  The description of rural life in Canada and the Orca whales set my imagination going.  Quite a moving story.  This was a brilliant read and one that I would certainly recommend.  Maybe a little slow to start with, but soon picks up pace. Loved the cover, which would have attracted my attention had i been browsing in a shop.

I found this quite a moving memoir and will admit to having to wipe away a tear or two.  I seldom write what a story is about for fear of spoiling for others.  Plus the author has written a good synopsis!  I do recommend this to all.

I received an electric copy of 'The Litter' by the author in exchange for an honest review via Librarything.

Although I had guessed from early into the book as to what was happening, this did not take away the enjoyment of a great horror book.  I just love books that manage to grip one from the beginning and 'The Litter' certainly did that, starting with a gruesome murder.  It was no ordinary murder!  Another plus for me is the short chapters.  I do hope that there is a sequel.

What initially drew me to reading this e-book is that I do have an interest in mental illness. My son suffered years with mental illness (BPD) until he committed suicide at the age of 32 yrs. Whilst reading this book, there was so much that I could relate to as my son went through so many similar thoughts and actions.  A well written book that is full of emotions and written from the heart.  Recommended.

The Clock Struck One had me gripped from the first page!  So many twists and I did not for one minute guess the ending.  I'm so pleased to have had the opportunity to read Helen Deakin's novella in exchange for an honest review.  I can honestly say that this is one of the best novella's that I have read in a long time.  So much was packed into this story and do hope to read more of Helen's books.

This book was totally different to what I was expecting and not the usual type of book that I generally read.  I had to think about the stars, but decided to give three stars instead of two.   I gave three stars as I did manage to finish the book and the story as a whole was quite good.

Broken Pearl must be one of the few books that I can say has been the best I’ve read over

the past year.  I have seen a few movies based around the War and Pearl Harbour and i 

could well imagine this book would also make an excellent movie.  Whilst I seldom write a blurb about the story for fear of spoiling for others, I would like to say that this book certainly stirred my emotions.  A well written book, which I can highly recommend!  I shall certainly be watching out for more books by this author.

Historical fiction is one of my favourite genres and I am familiar with the story of Isabella.  It is hard to imagine Isabella was only 12 yrs of age when she married. What turbulent times she had to endure during her life!  This is the first time that I have read any of Colin Falconer books and shall now be on the  lookout at my local library for more. I received this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I downloaded this book free and what a page turner it turned out to be. I wasn't sure that I was going to enjoy this book at first, but after reading the first chapter, I suddenly found myself unable to put the book down. I never like writing what a story is about, as I feel it spoils it for others. What I would say is that there is plenty of suspense. I did not guess the outcome until the end. I would certainly read another book by this author.

Wow…  what a rollercoaster of a book!  This is the first time that I have read a Michael     Robotham book and I am now eager to read more by this author.

 I never write a synopsis as usually one only repeats what the author has already written in his.  Plus I also feel it takes the enjoyment out of a book when one knows too much of what the story is about.

I loved the character of Audie Palmer.  Despite spending time in prison, I had the feeling that he was not the type of person that should be in prison.  All is revealed as the story progresses.  If I were in Audie’s shoes, I would have made my escape much sooner!  The ending was quite emotional and did pull a little at my heartstrings.  Such a shame when i finished the last page, as I wanted more.

I highly recommend this book, which I received from Netgalley in return for an honest review.

This is the first book that I have read by Laura Dowers and it will certainly not be the last. Absolutely loved it!  Despite being a little lost on the first few pages due to not reading 'The Queen's Favourite' first, this didn't distract from a very enjoyable read. I rarely write a synopsis, as I never like spoiling for others. This is one book that I didn't want to come to an end! Recommended.

This is the first book that I have read by Elizabeth Goddard and it will certainly not be my last. What a book, what a page turner! Plenty of suspense, with a lot of twists and turns. My son does a lot of mountain climbing and will be passing this book on to him.
